Job Description:

Ascendancy is an international fund that specializes in managing and servicing distress assets in the mortgage sector. We create solutions for our clients in the main departments of the core business: Extrajudicial Collection & Recovery, Judicial Process and REO's Management.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • The Reo Manager will be responsible for the review of broker price opinions, appraisals, and other valuations, the maintenance of assets through REO life cycle, the preparation for listing of the REO asset, and the timely closing of REO sales. The manager will orchestrate most of this work through vendors, appraisers, and brokers.
  • Recruit and manage a team of highly productive specialist in REO sales (investors and brokers).
  • Review and approve strategies that will enhance the marketability of properties.
  • Create, analyze and enhance reports to support department functions and identify exceptions regarding preservation issues to minimize client and operational risks.
  • Arranging for the contractual services relating to property inspections, appraisers, real estate agents, who may be involved in the inspection or evaluation of the property (property maintenance).
  • Develop marketing and sales strategies for new and existing referral sources.
  • Plan and preparing area budget and business plans.
  • Assist in the control of expenses related to the valuation, preservation and closing processes.
  • Contribute to the on-going improvement of the REO department through sharing ideas and improvements with the team.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and property preservation of pre foreclosure properties in accordance with current collection procedures. Gather information to determine the collection strategy and make a recommendation to Senior Collection Manager on how to proceed. This task requires close communication with your direct manager and real estate servicing.
  • Report the portfolio performance to Managing Director.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications
  • 4 YEAR COLLEGE DEGREE IN BUSINESS OR RELATED FIELD; OR EQUIVALENT WORK EXPERIENCE.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years mortgage banking experience including sales and business development.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years sales management experience.
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint and strong knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Basic ability to analyze business and personal financial statements and business plan.
